Fashion Design Degree Award:
On completion of this course, students will participate at the annual MODART graduation ceremony where they will receive their bachelors degree certificate along with the academic transcript from:
- MODART International Paris
Entry Requirements:
- 2 passes in GCE A/L, or
- GCE O/L with a Diploma in Fashion Design, or
- Sufficient work experience in the fashion industry.

Yes. MODART International Sri Lanka offers a Bachelor in Fashion Design awarded by MODART International Paris — a globally recognised fashion institution and one of the leading fashion schools in France. Graduates receive a degree certificate directly from MODART Paris.
Yes. The MODART Bachelor in Fashion Design is open to students with 2 passes in GCE A/Ls or an equivalent qualification. It is one of the few internationally accredited fashion design degrees you can pursue directly after your A/Ls without leaving Sri Lanka.
You need either 2 passes in GCE A/Ls, OR a GCE O/L certificate combined with a Diploma (Level 3) qualification, or sufficient work experience in the fashion industry. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, you can contact the admissions office directly – 0779988285
Yes. If you have completed your O/Ls, you can first enroll in the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Fashion & Textiles at the International Academy of Fashion (IAF) — MODART’s partner institution. Upon completing the diploma, you can join the MODART Bachelor in Fashion Design degree programme.
The programme is 3 years full-time, conducted on weekdays (twice a week) from 8am to 4.45pm at the MODART campus in Colombo 7.
Students specialise across 5 areas: women’s wear, men’s wear, kids’ wear, lingerie, and fashion accessories. The curriculum also covers fashion illustration, pattern making, trend analysis, textile workshops, fashion business, fashion marketing and digital tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and AI applications and alot more.
Yes. The degree is awarded by MODART International Paris and is recognised internationally. It gives graduates a competitive edge when pursuing careers or further studies abroad.
MODART graduates go on to work as Fashion Designers, Creative Directors, Pattern Designers, Visual Merchandisers, Brand Managers, and Entrepreneurs. The programme is designed to make you industry-ready by the time you graduate.
Yes. MODART Sri Lanka has a direct partnership with MODART International Paris. After completing the bachelor’s degree, students can progress to a Master’s programme in Paris, making it one of the only fashion schools in Sri Lanka with a direct Paris study pathway.
